Bring an extra donation to recognize Rotary's work fighting polio, and come to listen to our inspirational speaker. Katherine Kolios' experience spans the fields of education, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, and malaria prevention. She joined Rain for the Sahel and Sahara (RAIN) as Deputy Director in 2017 having lived, worked, and studied in Francophone communities throughout Africa, South America, and Europe. She has served as RAIN's Executive Director since May 2018. Katherine has experience working in the field and in headquarters of organizations large and small. Currently, she leads RAIN’s strategic planning, serves as the liaison between Niger and U.S. operations, and ensures RAIN has the resources needed to implement programs effectively in tandem with community partners. She is a graduate of Brandeis University’s Health: Science, Society and Policy program.

Rotarians to help with a community supper at the Eliot Methodist Church to help celebrate our state and community in honor of the state's 200th anniversary.
Menu includes baked beans, hot dogs/ham, rolls/brown bread, potato salad/coleslaw, homemade pies/whoopie pies, drinks.
Can enter the pot of beans contest (need to be there by 3:40 to be judged) OR can donate 3 or more food items to the Footprints Food Pantry table OR put some cash in the money jar. Proceeds used to raise funds for fireworks celebration later in the year. There will be a lottery, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, baked beans contest, basket raffle and more.
Our club members who volunteer will help with serving, set-up, clean-up, baking pies, etc.

This event will support the projects at the school in Haiti we have supported and for which we will be submitting a matching Global Grant to Rotary District and Foundation.
Come and support the teams and enjoy the refreshments and silent auctions and prizes while learning more about world and local geography. Always a fun night!
