Rotarian Sydney Mosher and her siblings Morgan and Isaac cut the ribbon at a festive celebration at The Kita Center (AKA Camp Kita) on May 24, 2026. A Rotary district grant from our club helped supply various fixtures and bunkroom items, but the generosity of many was on display that day, as the place literally and figuratively sparkled. It was a heart-warming event to see the supporters come out to celebrate the renovation of this former boy scout camp on Loon Lake in Alton, Maine. It was the vision of the Moshers that brought this to fruition - a nurturing and lovely space for those impacted by suicide. The programs provided here are as impressive as the facilities - what an ambitious and worthwhile project for all those involved!
