This summer our club sent 8 future leaders from Marshwood High School to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) at Camp Hines in Raymond, Maine.  This transformational 4-day experience was funded by our club.  5 of the 8 shared their experiences and perspectives with us at our meeting.  Emily Rumble, our MHS Interact advisor and, coincidentally, the co-director of RYLA who has retired after years of leading this superb program, and one past RYLA participant gave us glowing reports about RYLA.   We would love to give this opportunity to even more students next year, not just from Marshwood but Berwick Academy and other area schools our club serves.  This program is available to sophomores before entering their junior year of high school so they can use their newly-acquired leadership skills while still in high school.  Per our Rotary 4-Way Test, this is "beneficial to all concerned and builds goodwill and better friendships."
