The room was packed and the helpers stayed busy serving meals at the Eliot Congregational Church to the senior citizens of Eliot. Also helping were members of the Eliot Recreation Department and the Eliot Fire Department. This was a team effort with our Rotarians making sure all was in order, under the expert leadership of Rotarian Deb DeColfmacker. We were shocked and grateful to learn that the meals were donated by the Flynn family of South Berwick (they run the Links at Outlook, the Red Barn, the Stage House Inn, Dufours, and other properties), and the York Hospital continued their tradition of supplying us with pies. When the food wasn't quite ready to serve when folks arrived, they asked us if they could start with the pies, and we said yes, as long as they promised not to spoil their appetites for the meal. And that's just what they did! There was food to spare so many people went home with enough food for an additional meal for later. Lots of lively conversation, music and smiling faces all around...
