Katie Somers was officially "inducted" into our club at our Rotary After Hours at the Shipyard Brewpub in Eliot, but we didn't snap a photo of her at that time (probably having too much fun!). Instead, we snapped her photo while she was preparing to race at the Eliot Festival Day 5K (she finished in the top 10 of women racers that day and second in her category). Speedy Katie is a teacher of non-native English speakers at the Somersworth NH schools, but she lives in Eliot. She has already been involved with our club via our Geography Quiz Nights and, following the race, she volunteered by helping us sell gelato at the Eliot Festival. We look forward to more good times together making the world a better place with this newest member of our club.
